We really enjoyed our weekend skiing and found Sentinel View to be an excellent place to stay. There were even fireworks on Saturday evening that we could watch from the window. It was beautiful!!

We rented the whole house this past New Years weekend. (12/28 - 1/1/12). One couple and three boys stayed upstairs while my husband and I stayed downstairs. The accomodations were great! The boys were able to walk to town at night. Wish the ski conditions were better....overall a great place to stay. We are thinking of renting again in the summer season. Really loved this house.

We had a very good time at the Sentinel View, the location is warm and nice and very close to Lake Placid. We did hiking and the weather was so nice, we enjoyed a lot !!

Thank you very much for the use of the cabin! Great location close to Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain. We had 2 great days of snowboarding. The weather was mild and there was plenty of snow. There was also a marriage proposal on Whiteface! We will be sure to return to celebrate an anniversary.

We had a great time! The house was completely gorgeous. I liked the swing too. We went ice skating on Mirror Lake on Tuesday. On Wednesday we went skiing at Whiteface. Both were so very fun! My brother and I played hide and seek. Great place for hiding. We loved it and we'll be back. You can see the outline of the mountains in the distance.

Sentinel View is definetly a keeper. It was a warm, beautiful place to stay. Lake Placid is an awesome town. We had pickup hockey games on Mirror Lake, went skiing at an Olympic mountain, and watched "Miracle" A light snow fell the whole time. Food is a plus. I recommend Mr. Mikes.

Our Memorial Day weekend will remain in our memory. Unfortunately such food times do not last long.

Had a wonderful stay, the accommodations were perfect. 6 Flags made a wonderful day trip, ski jump and gondola ride are well worth the passport. Beautiful lakes and rivers. Thanks very much for the memories.

We really enjoyed our stay here in Lake Placid. The cottage is great and the location was perfect for viewing the Ironman event.

Great House! Terrific location. Nice and quiet, allowing our daughter the peace and quiet she needed to rest up and be ready to compete for, and win a gold medal at the 2009 Lake Placid Ice Dancing Championships! Our second visit to Sentinel View was incredible and full of fun-filled winter activities. Saranac Lake & their witner carniva,snowshoeing, skiing and ice skating made this a week to remember. It's hard to beliee the Lake Placid Olympics were 30 years ago because the Olympic spirit definetly lives on!!
Can't wait to come back next year.

We had a fabulous vacation. Our daughter was in the Ironman competition and did very well. The house is cozy and well equipped. We would love to come back again.

I think we found yet another favorite spot in one home away from home. The views, the space, teh energy-all good! We made and awesome fire with help from the "puffier pepperdue" aka bellos-or something. The debate is ongoing. Thank you for the lovely stay. We'll be back next year...only longer. Cheers

Wow! What a beautiful place. We really felt at home here. Only spent the weekend but got a chance to snowshoe up Big Slide, amazing. Had a few well deserved beers afterwards down the road at "Liquids & Solids"

We had a wonderful stay. The house was a most comfortable base for our adventures into the wilds of the Adirondack Region. It was so nice to have such a comfy and cozy home to return to after a day hiking and exploring.

It is located ideally, being close to Main Street and a pleasant drive to Whiteface Mountain. The house is warm and cozy and the kitchen is very well equipped & easy to use. We all had a great time. My parents who came here from India had an extremely enjoyable weekend at Lake Placid, mainly because of the comfortable stay at your house. I will be definitely recommending it to my friends.

The location of this house is excellent! We were able to go into town with a very short drive. Also we love the birch bark accessories.

Life couldnt be more perfect.enjoying Six Flags, Whiteface Mtn, the ski jumping complex (2 of our girls used to speed skate so seeing where the Olympians competed was very exciting for them) and walking into The Gap where almost everything in the store is 50% off(haha)Your place was perfect distance from the main drag and yet felt somewhat secluded. What a great house! We were very comfortable here, both inside and out. The view of Sentinel range is marvelous! We love the location of the house, the sound of the river below and the train whistles! It's like our home away from home. We really like the location here, it's just a short bike ride to the beach and the town. We went to the beach at least four times and we went shopping a lot. Thanks again we love the Cottage!

Thank you for providing us with a cozy, warm place to stay. The view from the house is great and the location was convenient to downtown Lake Placid and Whiteface Mtn. We enjoyed having a fire each night and being able to cook breakfast each morning. Thanks for everything!
